java update problem

Hello all,

 

I am hoping that somebody can help me.  I am trying to install the latest java updates. I am unable to do so .......................I keep getting the message that "installation of update to the java platform not complete".  I have tried doing an offline update, no luck.  I am running windows xp home.  with AVG 8/Ad-aware/spyware blaster/spybot.

Let me know if more info is needed..............thanks
