I recently left my job where they required me to purchase a company
laptop (Toshiba Portege) which was set up on their network and I was
given a limited account. Now that I have left I took the computer with
me but I still have restricted privileges and a limited account and can't install programs
and everything. Is there a way to become the administrator and
eliminate the other account? I have Windows XP operating system, any
help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your help.

my daughters computer when she goes into log into her computer immediately will put up the notice her computer is now shutting down. It will not let her online? any suggestions?

Media Center starts up when I open Windows XP. O S. I used the settings in the MC to no avail.

I went to the configuration utility, but I dont know what to disable since I do not have the Media Center

configuration.!  I need help to resolve this annoyance. Any one ?

Computer shuts down down randomly.  The green power light turns orange and it won't restart.  I have to hold power off for 10 seconds.   It won't start for up to an hour, then shuts down again.  The fans are working and the case is clean.

It's a 3 year old Dell on XP.

My Sony Desktop O.S. Windows XP MCE System Restore is frozen. I cannot retrieve neither dates nor months. I do not have a Recovery Disk. I need help. Anyone ?
